4 Weird Hobbies My Hubby Has

We all have different personalities, and so, it is only natural that we all enjoy doing different things. While some of us love to go for a run or hit the gym, others prefer to spend the morning cooking or engrossed in a good book. And, that’s fine. Having a lovely time in our homes is important, we want to feel safe as well as comfortable. There are blog posts that can be found at https://www.photosforhomes.com/tips-to-having-a-great-time-at-home/ for those who want to see what else they can do to enjoy their home with their family, or by themselves.

If everyone was the same, the world would be a very boring place. That’s why it’s great that there are so many different people with unusual interests and hobbies, like men, for example. It may sound odd, but so many men, like my hubby, for instance, have incredibly strange hobbies.

To find out more about men and their unusual hobbies, have a read of this.

1. Home brewing beer

Okay, so home brewing beer does make sense. Most men, my hubby included, love to drink beer. So, the idea of them making their own home brewed beer shouldn’t be so odd, should it?

Home brewing beer is like a chemistry experiment that takes a lot of trial and error to get right. There is every chance that the first few batches will go off, not ferment properly or start to grow mould. But, this doesn’t stop them.

Brewing beer is not only a lot of fun, but it is also relatively easy and low-cost to do. Once you have got past the first few batches, of course. To brew homemade beer, all that is needed is a beer brewing book or website, some containers and, of course, some enthusiastic friends to give the home-brewed beer a taste. I know some of my friend’s husbands have even bought wholesale whiskey barrels and are thinking of home brewing on a big scale. Who knows, they may even look into brewing other beverages!

2. Body building

Most men like to keep fit and stay in shape, but bodybuilding takes things to a whole other level. For men, body building is a form of art; it is a way of sculpting their bodies into the strongest thing it can be.

Most men who bodybuild say that it improves their confidence, keeps their body in better shape and allows them to go after what they really want. However, the idea of building up muscles to a large size is an incredibly odd concept in my eyes.

3. Collecting model cars

Many men, like my hubby, like to collect model cars. I’ll admit, I’m not sure why, but it is something that they love to do. Perhaps it is the idea of having lots of little cars to play with? Or, maybe not. Whatever the pull of collecting model cars is, it is not something that many women get, that’s for sure.

For men, the idea of collecting special editions of model cars from stores like Atlas Editions, is fun and exciting. Whereas, for us women, it just seems odd.

4. Scotch tasting

Scotch tasting is basically the masculine version of wine tasting. It is a chance to hang out with friends and try lots of different types of scotch.

This hobby seems odd to me, as the idea of drinking scotch is not a pleasant one. But, for men who enjoy the taste of scotch, it is an interesting and unique hobby.
